Norman Rockwell Museum

A widely popular cultural attraction in the Berkshires, the Normal Rockwell Museum is home to the single largest collection of Rockwell’s iconic art and is located near our hotel. Tour the artist’s Stockbridge studio and view over 900 original paintings and drawings. Highlighting not only some of Rockwell’s most important works of art, exhibitions also spotlight other prominent American illustrators like Jerry Pinkney, Wendell Minor, David Macaulay and more. Art of Brewing Festival – Saturday, August 10th, 4-7pm

Join us for the second annual Art of Brewing Festival on August 10th.  Spend an afternoon sampling some of the best local brews and local food trucks’ best beer-friendly creations. Be inspired by illustration art in the galleries and on the beer cans!

Participants receive five sample pours and a souvenir pint glass.  Purchase food from some of the best local food trucks, view current and past label art from the brewers, and see the summer’s featured exhibits in the galleries from 4-5.  There will be music, lawn games and fun.  You’ll get inspired by illustrations found on everyday objects – like beer cans!

Use your program pass to get in for free. Additional tickets are $35.

Rockwell Society: Curator’s Circle Talk – Thursday, August 29, 4-5:30pm

Exclusive for Rockwell Society Members at the Curator’s Circle ($2,500) and up, join Chief Curator Stephanie Plunkett as she welcomes Justine Fletcher of Coca-Cola. Justine is Director of Heritage Communications at the soda giant, and will take us through the case of the “Missing Rockwells,” Norman’s relationship with Atlanta businessman and Coke-buyer, Robert Woodruff, and the art he created for the company.

A reception will follow with wine and cheese. Stay and discuss some rarely seen art and materials from Coca-Cola’s archives with Justine.

Rockwell Society: Benefactor’s Circle Dinner – Friday, September 13, 6pm

Benefactor’s Circle patrons ($5,000) and above are invited to a dinner with Director/CEO Laurie Norton Moffatt and the Board of Trustees. As our thank you for your generosity, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a special dinner with Norman Rockwell Museum’s leadership, hear an insider briefing on upcoming Museum work, and hear a short presentation from philanthropy guru Alyssa Wright.

Finding Home: Three Immigration Stories
Saturday, November 9, 5:30-7:30pm

The immigration experience will be explored in three compelling portrayals inspired by personal experience, bringing to life the realities of traveling to, and adapting to a new world thousands of miles away from home. Artwork included in the exhibition will feature David Macaulay’s newly released book Crossing on Time: Steam Engines, Fast Ships, and a Journey to a New World.
